Adult cardiac surgery. Primary list at Harbourview Medical City; one week in four at Western Ghats Heart Institute, Kozhikode. Not employed by Obeocure.
Dr Nair trained in India and completed an overseas fellowship in adult cardiac surgery. She has 22 years of independent practice. International patients are a regular part of her list, not a novelty. She will decline a file that should stay in the UK — we have seen her do it.
How she works with visiting patients
Opinion letters are written, not dictated to a coordinator. Video consults are 20–25 minutes and clinical. She prefers a recent angiogram and echo before commenting. Companions are welcome in the consult.
Languages
English (consulting language), Malayalam, Hindi. An Arabic interpreter can be booked; she does not consult in Arabic herself.
